In this episode of FRONTLINE, journalist Najibullah Quraishi returns to Afghanstan to investigate the re-emergence of "bacha bazi," an an ancient tradition banned under the Taliban.
Former warlords and powerful businessmen have revived what they call "Bacha bazi" which translates literally as "boy play" in which young boys, sold to former warlords and powerful businessmen are dressed in women's clothes and trained to sing and dance for the entertainment of the "master" and his friends. Entrapped in this system of sexual slavery, some who try to escape are even murdered.
To expose this secret culture, Quraishi meets Dastagar, known to be a key figure behind "bacha bazi"in the north of Aghanistan.
